Kern Riverfront Lodge

Loved this place. The Cottonwood Suite that I stayed in was very quaint and homey feeling. Check in was swift and staff were quick to respond to make sure we got in okay. Overall a nice place to stay especially if your exploring the surrounding area as well as well place in Kernville itself.

This is a wonderful place. It has knotty pine on the walls and a warm vibe. The river is just steps away. We love it

Out of the 3 places I called on a friday night after 6:30pm this was the only place that answered the phone great prices Debra was great will definitely be back again and would recommend this to anyone in the area looking for a nice clean and affordable place to stay

Enjoyed a delightful overnight stay at this charming inn. The price was reasonable, and even though we arrived quite late, check-in was a breeze. Woke up to a stunning morning view—it's peaceful, and the river is just across the street. Our room had a well-equipped kitchen with a fridge and microwave. The restroom was on the smaller side, but for an overnight stay, no complaints. The room overall was cozy and comfortable. Didn't get to interact with anyone, but fortunately, everything in the room worked well, making our stay great!

I was in Fresno for work and had the weekend to explore and was looking for a challenging hike. I found one near Lake Isabella and decided to head that way with no place to stay planned. I found this place and arrived about 6:30pm on a Saturday. There was nobody at the office, but I called and the woman was very kind and got me into a room over the phone since the doors have key codes. I got the stand-alone building with mushrooms painted on the side. It was an incredible value and extremely clean. No bugs, no mess, great lighting. One note about the lights is that there are a lot of switches and lamps. There is a bright light in every room, but it might not be the first switch you see. The only issue I had was that I was a bit cold and couldn't figure out how to turn up the heat in the bedroom but that was likely my own fault since I didn't try too hard to figure it out. The bed has real blankets which kept me warm enough though. The location is amazing as well. The town is quiet and has a nice little diner right behind the buildings. The riverfront is currently under construction for renovations as of December 2024. The views of the mountains are breathtaking from the room. I can't recommend this place enough.

Overall a good experience. When we walked in the front desk lady came out and said our room's toilet is completely broken. So an hour later the gentleman came and installed a brand new one. The kitchen sink also has issues but fixed also. So many flies mosquitos and bugs, they actually had small a bug swaper on the frig. The beds sheets were very clean. Had a Full kitchen so we cooked our own dinner. The outside of the building does not look at that but the inside was great. Great location since the kern river is right across the street.

This place is perfect. The manager was down to earth and very pleasant and above helpful with a genuine concern & care for their customers needs and comfort. The inside gives you a cozy warm feeling with glowing knotty pine all throughout the inside. Nice galley/breakfast bar kitchen, kitchen table, large living room with a fireplace, large windows for an awesome view of the park and river, full size fridge, private washer/dryer, and front and back balconies. The price is MORE than reasonable. I didn't want to leave. Having said all this I was a visitor that spent many hours in the top suite with friends ( Carla & Doug), who also felt the same. I highly recommend this place.

Booked this place on accident (I thought I booked the place I stayed at 5 years ago), but I was not disappointed. Not gonna share which "room" I stayed in because I don't want it overbooked in the future, but if you find the gem at this place you'll know what I'm talking about. Front desk was friendly and helpful. My room was clean! And cozy! Some areas are dated (may get an update soon), and some have been recently updated, but the stay was amazing nonetheless. Across from the river and close to town, I'm definitely booking again for a family stay, only when this room is available.
